I’m making a change this year. I’m coming back to the travel business.
Going through 2020 and even 2021, when COVID restrictions were complex and constantly changing, and guests were understandably concerned about going through with their travel plans, the travel business was extremely tricky. I spent many hours planning and booking trips, only to go back and cancel them.
I also homeschool my two daughters, and they were at a pivotal time in their lives that required more of my attention. We homeschool so I can have those moments with them, not being so busy with my job that their needs get pushed to the side. So I took a break.
That break was unfortunately extended when I lost my dad unexpectedly last year. I definitely needed some time to process and cope, and while I’m still not completely there, I know he would not want me to wallow in my grief. In fact, my dad, along with my mom, instilled in me a love of travel that has grown and expanded throughout my lifetime. He would want me to continue this endeavor, and help spread the love of travel to others as well.
You may have reached out to me at some point in 2022 or 2023 and asked if I could book a trip for you, and I may have referred you to another very capable travel agent and friend. However, I just wanted to let you all know that I’m back, and looking forward to helping plan your next vacation!
